I accompanied one of the couples whose wedding I’m organizing to Ayala Heights last Sunday for a taste test with K by Cunanan.  It’s a fairly new catering team but their family has actually been in the catering business for around 40 years already.

They made a mock up of the table set-up which I really liked since she didn’t make use of the typical flowers which I’m already tired of seeing.   It was a refreshing sight with all the vibrant colors of the different flowers.  These types of arrangements makes you feel that the event is special and not a commercialized one as some caterers would organize.

As we were going through the details of the event, she had us served some drinks as well as appetizer.  The food was actually good! (Soo good I forgot to take pictures of the early food served!) Quite gourmet-ish as my client would describe.  Their wedding would be a sit-down dinner since they didn’t want the hassle of people lining up to get food.

I guess most would prefer the buffet style since they feel it’s going to be more filling for the guests.  But actually, being the foodie that I am, despite having a set menu, I was actually so stuffed by the time dessert came.  We didn’t even sample anymore the other dishes included in the menu.  I’m sure my client’s guests would love the food that’ll be served at the reception and they can enjoy it without the inconvenience of standing up and falling in line.

Kaye was easy to talk to and very accommodating to my client’s requests.  She also gave some suggestions with regards to some details of the events.  You can tell that she definitely has a classy taste! After the food tasting and discussion with Kaye I was sure that my clients are in good hands.

Hizon’s Food Tasting at the Mango Farm

I’ve been sick for more than two weeks already and mostly have been staying at home and resting, but still stuck to most of my commitments. I met up with Anton and Sierra last Aug. 5 to discuss their wedding on Sept. 29. Anton was also actually sick at that time and we were both sniffing in between discussions.

They’re actually gonna get married at the Mango Farm in Antipolo. I’ve been hearing about this place lately and has seen their booth during wedding expos and was really curious how the place looks like (duh? filled with mango trees of course!). It was a good thing that Hizon’s Food Tasting also falls on August 5 and would be held at the Mango Farm. It was inevitable for me and my wedding coordination group to do ocular at the venue and attend the food tasting as well. I just love multi-tasking!

Well, I’ve already been to one of Hizon’s Food Tasting Event and loved their food specially their Lengua and Lasagna! It was just really great that they’re offering a great package in coordination with the Mango Farm. You can actually have your wedding there for Php115,000 nett for 150 guests. That includes the venue and buffet already!
