Just hanging out

Here’s my usual Starbucks routine. I would order a Venti Iced Tea (i prefer Zen, although Basic Black would do) and if I’m hungry, I would usually order a sausage roll. I have been ordering this too often that the barista already knows what I would order. It’s fun having a Starbucks branch near our place (just a tricycle away). So whenever I feel bored at home and would want a new ambiance to do all my writing, I’d often troop myself here.

After ordering, I would usually find the newspaper and just catch up on current events. I could stay in Starbucks for hours since the place somehow gets me into the groove of writing. And whenever I have writer’s block, I would just usually spend time people watching, until I get back into the mood of writing.

What’s more fun with having a neighboorhood Starbucks branch is that you somehow get to know the regulars as well as the baristas. They don’t need to ask my name anymore to put on my drink. Well, I haven’t seen some of the other regulars since the med boards are already done. Anyway, even if I don’t know (or probably don’t remember) their names, we just acknowledge each other with smiles.

Quickly (Food Stalls at the Mall Series - part 2)

I love quickly!  It’s always Taro ice with Nata for me.   It’s really great that they have a branch at SM North since I only used to get hold of these whenever they set-up a booth in UP way back in my college days.

I actually prefer this over Zagu.  I find Quickly more refreshing over the powdered shakes of Zagu. How about you, which one do you prefer?

I thought Quickly would just be one of those fads who’s gonna fade at some point, but looks like Quickly is here to stay.   They’ve come up with a wider set of drinks you could choose from to keep up with its competitors.  Well, I think they’ve developed already a legion of fans since whenever I pass by their stall, there would always be people all lined up.
